Cinnamon, honey, yogurt face mask

22:03

You will need:

  • 1/4 cup of plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Let's do this:

This is pretty simple to make, just combine the cinnamon and honey into the yogurt and mix until it all combined nicely.

Make sure your face is clean and makeup free before you apply your face mask with clean fingers.

Let the mask dry for about 10 - 15 minutes, then wash off with warm water.

This was my first time trying this particular mask and I found the mixture pretty runny so it was a little hard to apply. Apart from the runny consistency i was super pleased with how it worked out. The smell was lovely and after removing the mask, my face was left feeling really soft and smooth.

I looked up the benefits of each of the ingredients, so here are the reasons you will love this face mask:

  • The yogurt has lactic acid in it, which will help exfoliate the top layer of your skin and will also reduce any acne scaring you may have! Woo!
  • Cinnamon drys out your skin and then in turn dries out active acne. The day I tried out this mask, I was having a particularly good skin day so I'm not able to vouch for this but if anyone has this result please let me know!
  • Finally, honey is very soothing and moisturising for the skin, it can reduce redness and is also antibacterial so it can prevent any future acne flare ups, which is always nice.
Overall I had a lot of fun trying out this homemade mask, if anyone decide to try it out please let me know your thoughts!
