Small City Shopping Spree

A couple of days ago I made the trip into the city on the hunt for some new makeup products. Here is what i got:
My first stop was Mecca where I got the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette. I'm not too adventurous when it comes to eyeshadow so I generally stick with the neutral colours and I wanted to get a smallish sized palette that would be great for everyday use that could be easily transported around. Since getting this palette it has been everything i had hoped for! It is small and compact and the colours are gorgeous! I have loved playing around with the different looks i can make with the colours. It also comes with a How-To guide for those that need a little guidance.
Another Too Faced product that I bought while I was at Mecca was the 'Better Than Sex' mascara. I had heard so many people rave about this product, so I have been waiting to get my hands on this. After trying it out a couple of time, I can understand why so many people love it so much! I love my lashes to look bold and intense and this mascara does just that, giving me the volume and length that I need. I am super impressed and doubt that I will be trying any other new mascaras for a while.
Next stop was the Benefit counter in Myer. I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with the benefit counter as I love their products but I find that the people who work at the counter are extremely pushy when it comes to trying to sell you things and to be honest I can find myself, at times, avoiding the counter all together. Although despite the pushy sales people I decided to go in to purchase Hula bronzer, a benefit product that I have been wanting to try for a while now. I am always a little worried when it comes to bronzers because I have very pale skin and more often than not bronzers can look overly orange and/or muddy on my face but I was really pleased when this wasn't the case with this bronzer and since buying it I have been using it pretty much everyday to lightly contour my face.
My last stop was Target because they have recently started stocking Sleek MakeUP. It didn't take me long to pick up the Face Form palette in the shade 'Light', the palette come with a bronzer, highlight and blush in a sleek compact making it great for traveling. I have not tried the bronzer yet but the highlighter has quickly become a favourite or mine, it is a pinky champagne colour and suits my skin tone perfectly! The rose golden blush is also stunning however it is very pigmented so is needed to be used with a light hand. Since this palette was pretty cheap for Australian makeup prices, I highly recommend it!
I am always on the look out for new makeup so if anyone has any recommendations, I would love to give them a try!

Hi Laura. I too love neutral eyeshadows. Think they look best on me since I'm a darker eye girl. I haven't tried any too faced palette but I highly recommend Clinique pretty easy eye palette. It's in a small glass case easy to put into your handbag. The shadows are incredible. Trust me.
